Purpose : The purpose of the Decision Management Process is to select the most beneficial course of project action where alternatives exist. This process responds to a request for a decision encountered during the system life cycle, whatever its nature or source, in order to reach specified, desirable or optimized outcomes. Alternative actions are analyzed and a course of action selected and directed. Decisions and their rationale are recorded to support future decision-making.
